Do you like hot dogs? How about horseshoes? Hand grenades? (everyone likes hand grenades) Anyway, we've got all that, and guns. SO MANY GUNS. So if you like ordnance, meat, and far too many groan-worthy puns, this is the VR sandbox game for you.

if you got gun autism, this is it for you, very fun in general
Making your money off the backs of PC players for over 10 years only to sell out to Meta after teasing the sequel for almost a year. Incredibly disappointing.
I had my fun with this game, and the constant stream of updates over years and years were incredible to see. Sure at the end of the day it's just a sandbox toy of a game, but it's been fascinating to watch it get built up for so long. The game itself is excellent actually, performance can get pretty choppy at times but it's also built on 10 years of learning and evolution so I can forgive it, especially for $20. However, I can't recommend it anymore due to Anton's recent change of tune regarding PCVR and Meta. He got paid a bunch of Zuck bucks to develop H3VR2 and now is treating anyone wondering why we're getting a 9 month delay for the PCVR release as if they're questioning god. So no, don't give him or his company any money.
Despite Anton's studio existing *because* of this game and the community around it, he's turned his back on both his own word and his own community by taking Facebook's Meta Money, and changing his tune on how he feels about facebooks privacy issues and the way they strangle out VR. Misleading advertising for the sequel project failed to clearly show that H3VR2 is over a year away, and launching first on Meta Quest 3, with DLC, no less, to include paid sandbox scenes. Anton argues up, down, left and right that he was clear the release would be delayed by over the year. That is very factually incorrect. He advertised the game well before making that known, and statements to that effect were hidden behind videos on Youtube and announcements on discord, of which not everyone follows. He repeatedly suggests that Meta is the reason H3VR2 exists, but his company exists to begin with because of the wider PCVR Steam Audience, his audience A-priori was 100% PCVR. It's a slap in the face- he won't even settle on a confirmed release date. Ultimately, H3VR is a reflection of him as a developer and his wider team. He's supported H3VR for a while, but if he changed his tune on Meta support- who's to say what he'll do to H3VR? I can't recommend the game, because your money goes toward a Developer I no longer support. I'll play H3VR on my Frame, after I eventually get the controls figured out, despite Anton's whining about the frame. But H3VR2 might as well not exist. He's stated repeatedly that there's no exclusivity deal, but I believe him to be lying to our faces. After all, he clearly lied about how thankful he is for his PCVR community, and how he feels about Meta. Anton, you should be ashamed of yourself. Rather than drag people's careers, and your own, into the clutches of Meta, you should have let them go, and let the studio go. That would have been a better, happier fate than taking the money, slapping us in the face, and trying to gaslight us about what you did or did not say.
Such a shame Anton sold out to Meta and pretty much made H3VR 2 a quest exclusive for god knows how long H3VR 1 is such an amazing game all round and it pisses me off that the devs decided to alienate their PCVR audience that they've built for the past decade purely for money from Meta all the while not saying a damn thing about it When I look at this situation, I'm reminded of how Onward sold it's soul to Meta Please consider releasing H3VR 2 at the same time as the quest version since even a year for "optimization" from what I know is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ even for an indie studio Do better Anton
