Jelly-like capitalism. This game will have you wearing denim overalls and a straw hat whilst chewing on a wheat stalk, thinking you're a full-time livestock farmer after around ten hours of playtime. The game throws you into the deep end of manual labour, as you have to complete repetitive tasks over and over again to make a profit. But this isn't a bad thing; it's actually what makes the game work so well. The cycle of gathering food for your slimes, feeding them for the production of plorts, selling said plorts, and then reinvesting the money gained into increasing the efficiency of this tedious yet satisfying cycle is what makes the game enjoyable. It's not one of those farming games that requires a lot of mental effort. It's one of those games where you can sit down with some food and a drink and relax while wrangling gelatinous organisms. For those who aim to reach maximum production of a specific type of plort to make easy money, think again. Firstly, give the damn slimes a break, but secondly, overselling a particular plort can cause the plort market to crash! Basic plortenomics 101, class is in session. You need to husband multiple different species of slimes so you have access to an array of plorts to sell. By doing this, you will avoid creating a surplus of one specific type of plort, causing its value to plummet. Congratulations! You just passed the introductory lesson to slime ranching university. In all seriousness, this game is really fun and can grow surprisingly addictive. The achievements are pretty straightforward to get, and you will most likely gather the majority of them from completing the game. Maxing out the Slimepedia took a bit of dedication, and the Plort Rush mode can pose quite a challenge. But overall, I enjoyed every minute of it. This wasn't the first time I've played this game, and it probably won't be the last. All hail the pink slime. 8.2/10
you can uh, ranch slimes n stuff. pretty tight imo
If you love mixing and matching slimes to make new ones, you will love this game. I really do not know what else to say besides that it is cute lol. My mouse does bug out sometimes though but that could be a me issue. 9/10. (I am writing this review so late that I am unsure if I got this game as a gift, so bear that in mind possibly)
goty, q nostalgia. no se pq steam m ha quitado 8 horas jugadas pero platinar este juego es muy divertido la vdd d mayor quiero ser un slime
No hate to those who enjoy this game. I can see why it's popular. I just found it to be a little to open ended and loose with not enough goals or upgrades. I kept pushing forward to wait for it to click but it never really did for me. I think I got all the upgrades I could basically before even really getting to any significant new areas. So yeah strange progression, lack of a real campaign and not the best environmental storytelling made it hard for me to keep going. Additionally I found navigation to be tedious and exploration to be unsatisfying. But if you enjoy really sandboxy type games you'll likely enjoy this. I just am posting this for those who don't enjoy that.
