One of the greatest games ever made. It truly captures that sense of exploration, fun and "one more minute" with the best of them. I have bought and played Terraria several times over nearly two decades, and would happily do so again. I have clocked countless hours playing on other platforms. I've bought it on my phone, I've played it on console, I've owned it on GOG. It's been with me for nearly two decades, across computers new and old. The creator just keeps making the game better, adding more and more incredibly interesting and surprising things to do. Do yourself a favour and try this game.
the game gets exponentialy better with each update
This game is not worth the price tag at all, trust me :3 it absolutely should be more, maybe even priceless, really :3 I just cannot tell you how much I love this game :3
★★★★★

In many ways, Terraria is a difficult game to review. To call it a 2D sandbox game would be accurate. You mine. You build. You explore. You fight monsters. You defeat bosses. You collect things you will probably never use. And yet, to leave it at that would be to miss the point entirely. I've been playing Terraria on mobile since the dawn of time. I'm talking about the days when you'd see a chat message saying an NPC “wants to settle down,” when furnaces still had those round sprites, and when my ancient iPad could barely handle the game without eventually crashing. I remember playing Terraria with a literal snot coming out of my nose, sitting there completely absorbed in this little 2D world. And because the game would randomly crash on my old-ass iPad, I learned the hard way to save every 15 minutes. I'd regret not quitting and saving constantly because there went an entire session of progress. But Terraria was never just a game to me. It was one of the reasons I got to meet some genuinely good friends. Some of them I still talk to today. Others have gone their own way, and some I don't talk to anymore. But they're all part of the memories I associate with this game. And that's why calling Terraria “just a 2D game” feels like a gross understatement. It's a game I've watched grow alongside me. A game that was there when I was just a kid playing on an old iPad, and somehow it's still here now that I'm 22, a nurse. A ridiculous amount of time has passed since those old mobile days. The sprites changed. The content grew. The game became bigger and bigger. But whenever I start a new world, chop down that first tree, build a tiny wooden house, and start digging into the ground, there's still that familiar feeling. Terraria has been a genuinely good part of my life. It's given me countless hours of fun, a lot of stupid deaths, even more unfinished builds, and most importantly, memories with people who became important to me.
The NPC Nurse does not give happy endings. 0/10. Every other thing in the game is good too except for the rolling cactus and boulders and giant tourtises
