As a South Park fan, I can't praise this masterpiece enough. The best South Park game ever. love it.
Played the game for a second time on steam and it still holds up. (Farted on a dead nazi featus) We need a new south park rpg in 2026.
This is a great game set in the South Park universe. I loved the turn-based combat with its unique attacks and enemies. Never would I have dreamed of circumcising Mongolian riders as a Jewish child in a video game. The Story is as unhinged as you would expect, but still very enjoyable. It feels a bit like the pretend games i played as kid, just with more swearing, gore and ridiculousness. Good times!
They dont make games like this anymore
without a doubt, one of those games that can really surprise you. If you like South Park, this is probably one of the best games you can play, because it perfectly captures the humor, characters, ridiculous situations, and overall style of the show. It's basically like playing through one huge South Park episode, except you get to control the main character and make your own choices. The story is hilarious and is packed with completely absurd moments, references to the show, and characters that fans will immediately recognize. The combat system, while not overly complicated, works really well and has enough abilities, weapons, and companions to keep the fights from becoming boring. Exploring the town and discovering all the different side quests also makes sure there's always something to do. I also really like the visual style. It literally looks like an episode of the show, which fits the game perfectly. It doesn't try to have realistic graphics or anything like that; it simply takes South Park's iconic style and turns it into a video game. BUT... the bugs are a huge shame. The game has several issues that can be pretty annoying, especially on PC. There are moments where certain things in the game don't work the way they're supposed to, characters can behave strangely, there can be problems with transitions, and in my case, I even got completely stuck at one point in the story and couldn't progress. For example, after defeating the Bard, I went back to the house and reached a point where I simply couldn't go down the stairs to continue. No matter what I tried, I just couldn't progress. I had to load an earlier save and replay part of the mission just to be able to continue. And that's really frustrating because the game itself is REALLY good. When everything works properly, it's incredibly fun and it's hard to stop playing. But when one of these bugs happens, it completely kills the momentum and forces you to load an older save, restart the game, or look for solutions online. It's also a shame because this isn't some unknown game or a small project. It's a South Park game that could easily be considered one of the best games based on a TV show, and it's frustrating that technical issues end up affecting an otherwise great experience. In conclusion: I absolutely recommend The Stick of Truth, especially if you're a South Park fan. The story, humor, characters, references, and art style make it a fantastic game and definitely worth playing. However, it's impossible to ignore the technical problems. It's a shame that such a good game is so buggy, because with a more stable experience, it would be even more enjoyable.
if you are considering buying this game in 2026 because its on sale please don't bother. The save system is broken because of how outdated the game is and you have to go through some tedious steps in order for the game to let you save including fiddling around in the files which if youre not experienced in that will feel dodgy and confusing. support has been pretty useless with no actual indication that there will be any fixes possible in the future and i lost all the progress i made back when i first played this game
F u c k you valve. I bought this game and now cant even view the store page, get absolutely f u c k e d
Awful game. If you want to sit on a battle against Al Gore for multiple hours, because of their awful game design go ahead. Truly a disgusting and frustrating experience. Any of the studios who put their names in front of this abomination should have no right to create any more games. Do better.
