Nearly 600 hours into this thing and I finally feel like I can start writing up how I feel about it. It's a game I can't put down, can't stop being frustrated with, can't stop laughing at, and can't help but come back to. The realism extends to the science behind the game and leaves the gameplay itself dry, repetitive, janky and poorly structured. I've memorised exactly how many musical notes to nap for to reset the timer for a sick pup, and still lose about half of them anyway. I've learnt how to herd elk and bison to the den site so predators can't spawn on it, only to watch adult pups eat continuously at 95% hunger and leave growing pups to starve. I've had the rarest events (finding a pup lost to unknown fate as an adult) occur on multiplayer games and not get the associated achievements even though the event is identical. What a disaster. It's like this thing has been perfectly designed for me to be autistic about, and drive me up the wall. I'm never going to stop playing, or complaining about this game. If you like wolves and/or screaming over watching your beloved wolf children slowly and unavoidably die over and over again in the name of scientific accuracy, go play this game. If not, well, can't really help you there.
WolfQuest is one of the best games that I have ever played. I was blown away by how accurate this game is, but also how fun. If you love wolves, I 100% recommend this game. (It also has great devs!).
I love the game! I've been following its development from the beginning. Played the old game since it came out! It's amazing how far WolfQuest has come and I can't wait to see what else they have in stock. What I'd like to suggest is the game be released on cloud services like Geforce Now or Boosteroid so I can play with some of my friends who don't have a good computer to run the game.
As someone who has accumulated a fair amount of hours on this game.. i feel i can definetly recommend it with full confidence. The team that works on this game is extremely dedicated and i love watching their dev blogs on youtube!! This was one of my very first games and remains one of my absolute favorites, the dlcs i feel are fairly priced and i bought nearly all of them and do not regret it. The maps are gorgeous, nevermind the lovely wolf modifications and more skins!! Despite not being very good at achievment hunting with how many hours i have i still find myself trying to get more and more T3T I whole heartedly recommend! If you love or have a friend who loves wolves, this is one of the best if not the best and most realistic game ive personally played :D!
