This is by far my favorite Rusty Lake game. Not many come close, except maybe Underground Blossom. There's many things I love about it, such as the family tree aspect, the alchemy aspects, and just simply how MACABRE it is. The game spans from 1859-1935, to my knowledge the longest span out of every Rusty Lake game. It also covers the largest part of the family and ties up many loose ends left in previous games. With the release of the new game Servant of the Lake, we now have a fuller view of the family tree than ever before, making this game even more of a masterpiece. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a tolerance for mild gore.
Truly a rusty lake classic
Really fascinating story line and brilliantly thought out puzzles that will scratch the right itch if you like a challenge and have the patience to see it through. I started playing these games when I need a study break and they are really great for just refreshing your brain before you start the next task or for a rainy day deep dive into the lore. I usually play through a few puzzles when I am on a break and then go onto the next thing. This approach also helps you take in the story progression more and really appreciate the experience. It's a really cool series overall and I want to eventually play through them all.
