PEAK is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its center. Do you have what it takes to reach the PEAK?

I don't think PEAK is just a game about climbing a mountain. Somehow, it's become one of the nicest places I've ever spent time in. Yes, you can play it with your friends. You can scream when someone falls, and laugh at a friend slipping on a banana. But somewhere between all of that, you start talking about your day, about life, about things you probably wouldn't have brought up if you were just sitting in a Discord call with nothing to do. PEAK gives you something to do while you're spending time with the people you care about. And I think that's what makes it so special. And somehow, it's just as lovely alone, when your friends aren't around, PEAK doesn't suddenly become an empty experience. There's something strangely peaceful about climbing by yourself. It's you, the mountain, and the quiet determination to see how far you can make it. The game is challenging, but it also has this warmth to it that I genuinely can't explain. I've played plenty of games that are fun. I've played games with better graphics, bigger worlds, and more things to do. But I don't think I've ever experienced a game quite like PEAK. I genuinely think that's what makes this game so lovely. It's the feeling that, for a little while, you're exactly where you want to be. I've never been able to experience a game quite like this before. 10/10. Absolutely PEAK.
Great multiplayer experience! We played as a duo and had a lot of fun. Going to play as a team of 3–4 people next time
v2.4.c runs good again
fun low stress type stuf
This is one such game I wish "neutral" reviews were an option. I don't believe I'm the target audience for this sort of game. I can have fun with it, but it's mostly while interacting with my friends and seeing chaos unfold rather than because of what the game offers directly. I think it's a really creative and fun idea, and it was well executed overall - but I just find it really frustrating to play past the initial part of the map. It feels to me that there is a way too big jump of difficulty between first and second biomes, and the climbing goes from "fun challenge" to "frustrating management and rng". Managing your stamina gets annoying, there's little to no food, it goes from no enemies to enemies aplenty, you constantly run on dead ends, etc. Again, maybe I'm just not the target audience for this. I'll probably still play it with friends when invited because, again, the interaction with folks can be fun. But it's because of the people, not the place.
made me punch a female in the street
A good game, but recent update makes you automatically die when you disconnect from a multiplayer game and when you reconnect, you'll always respawn as a ghost, with all of your inventory banished to the shadow realm (not dropping for other players) Before, when you disconnected, you would respawn as a human back where you left off/back when you disconnected, with all of your loot. This ruin my multiplayer experience as my friends keep disconnecting and reconnecting as a ghost. Please, fox this bug ASAP.
I love the game, but somehow I also hate it sometimes. I disconnected from the game because of a network issue, and when I came back, my character was already dead and had become a ghost. I had to wait until the next map just to be able to revive and play again. I think the checkpoint and disconnect system really needs to be improved. If a player disconnects because of a network problem, they shouldn't immediately be considered dead. Losing all of their items and progress because of a temporary disconnection is extremely frustrating. There should be some kind of grace period or checkpoint system that allows players to reconnect without losing everything. Network issues can happen to anyone, and punishing players this heavily for something that's not necessarily their fault makes the game feel frustrating and can make people lose motivation to play.
