Epic Battle Fantasy 4

A light-hearted turn-based RPG, heavily inspired by old 2D classics. You will battle through waves of cute enemies, grow your characters, explore a diverse world, solve puzzles, and of course, save the world. (Just updated to version 3!)

  • Epic Battle Fantasy 4 is right about what I consider a perfect flash game, alongside the likes of Kingdom Rush and the Epic War series. It has a ton of content, but still has that flash game charm. It stays pretty well varied and does not overstay its welcome. The combat and length are both less substantial compared to Epic Battle Fantasy 5, and it is overall easier to power game and trivialize encounters, but for what it is, the game is a good 20-40 hours worth of content. For the price, very hard to beat.

  • A very fun RPG, if you love using debuffs and buffs and taking advantage of foes strengths and weaknesses, then give this game a shot.

Negative

  • Enjoyed more than 3, found it more interesting a narrative (nothing revolutionary) but good enough. Game play felt snappy, presentation is so well polished. Felt like it tries to drop some of the date humour you'd find on certain communities mid 2010's and be something more but not take itself too seriously Fine on steam deck using the control stick and touch screen (pad is fine but just do yourself a favour and use the touch screen). You could play this on it's own without the rest, anything remotely important is summarised....and none of it is actually important.
