Been a minute since I've genuinely enjoyed a game. I was hooked on the story and the world. It made me giggle more than once. Great work!

Awesome game! I think it has quite an enjoyable story. I really like the writing, the historical context, the general aesthetic of the game, both in terms of mood and visually, and the music is extremely funky. It's a game clearly made with passion and care in every aspect, which I unfortunately find quite rare with most games. I really enjoyed it and I think most people would!
I love drinking and miss my wife
Long story short, I got to the final boss, but didn't feel like finishing it cause of problems with the combat system. Felvidek sets a strong tone almost immediately. Banging music, unique visuals and ye olde tyme speake establishes the distinctive parts of the game from the start. Add to that a unique take on an open world, evolving over time with multiple missable encounters and mini stories and you get what should be a strong foundation. However, there are a bunch of small trip ups that add up throughout the course of the game. I like my rpgs to have 3 things: good music, story and combat. Though it certainly delivers on music, it's the other two where it falters. The olde speake results in hard to parse dialogue, meaning half the time I wasn't totally clear on where to go. The first time I played this game, I wasn't sure on how to start the story, so I wandered around before eventually repeatedly ramming my face into a brick wall and hence ragequiting. Granted though, that may have just been a skill issue. The combat, on the other hand, needs some reworking, as it quickly devolves into mashing the basic attack button. I think this is mainly due to me being an item hoarder, however it's never quite devolved to this level in similar combat systems like in look outside or fallout 1 and 2. My guess is it has to do with attack point (or tools as it's called here) availability, look outside has a much larger pool available through more readily available items, loads of readily available companions, and just bigger numbers. The original fallouts have AP regenerating after your designated turn. I think the system would benefit through some form of the latter, probably through constantly slowly regenarating AP (or tools) like in the modern fallouts, cause of the lack of readily available companions. Basically, this was the main reason I didn't want to finish the game, cause I ran out of AP items on the final boss, awaiting a slow death. Anyway, I thought the story was pretty good. The secret door being opened through literally giving the monster a tongue was phenomenal imagery, and I liked the irony of the mini army of soldiers wondering how the cultists came to be. They did a good job making me empathise with the cultists as well I think, through portraying the town's own debauchery, as well as showing the more human side of the cult having likeminded goals to the protagonists. The sidequests also seemed fun, though I didn't get much of a chance to partake in them. In summary? Not really my kind of thing. I like speedrunning the main story, then doing side quest stuff if I already like what I experienced, and said speedrunning heavily ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the game's already fragile pacing. I found the mixed media a bit ugly, though the 3d segments I liked. I am too stupid for the old speak. I didn't gel well with the combat. Hopefully you can enjoy it more than I did, though, cause it's clear a lot of effort was put into it. Yeah. That's all. Goodbye.
