This game is A+. 90% of dislikes are people that paid 90 to only play multiplayer and missing out on what the game is truely about and what the game is truely made for. The campaign, the soundtrack, the sound design and story. For anyone looking for a review of what the game is ACTUALLY about, heres why it isnt S: -small plane list -cant aquire some skins through campaign -optimization on some missions -cant change wingman SP weapons BUT soundtrack, sound design, graphics, physics, maps, story all are nothing short of amazing. I dont care for multi and didnt pay 90 for multi, but will try it out. But campaign is amazing
9/10. Compared to AC7 you can see the budget difference, the game looks very good. Positives: • Gameplay is very good, with a lot of features from previous AC games, and you can carry multiple special weapons, like Project Wingman. • The campaign is very good, with 30 missions which is 10 more than AC7 • 10/10 Soundtrack per usual • FOR me personally, I had no performance issues, but other people are having issues, so be wary. • All of the Shadows/Lux Lunae themes are absolute bangers. Negatives: • Multiplayer is very grindy Honestly there might be more negatives but i cant think of any. Overall I highly recommend it. I really hope this game succeeds and we get DLC and maybe get a second holy trinity with AC7, AC8, and someday AC9.
Only took 5 minutes of flying to know Project Aces released another Banger. If you liked Skies Unknown you are going to love this.
10/10, Equals 5 and beats 7 hands down, Easily the best music in the franchise. It was begging for the operations mechanic from 6 for the larger battles though. Haven't had any performance issues, and While I agree with people being rightfully upset zero isn't a standalone download on pc, its definitely not worth Review bombing this great game because of it
Really Loving the campaign so far, it's really fun. Not having much trouble running either on my distro HOWEVER on top of the insult that is Denuvo the Game has the first ever kernal level anit-cheat from bandai (Not even Tekken has it). And that means no multiplayer for linux users at all. Real shame. It's a choice to lock out linux users as well not a necessity. Don't expect them to make it compatible with steam deck or machine in the future. BTW just checked and their is already a cheating software up and running meaning it's all worthless to do this. Absolute Clown ♥♥♥♥
"*ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR is a standalone application separate from the ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE full game." I just copy pasted this text from the steam page. It is a BLATANT LIE. It is NOT separate. You need to install 140gb of data to play a 3gb 20 years old game. And why do console have achievements and not PC? EDIT: THEY CHANGED THE STEAM PAGE TEXT. It now says: "*ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR (Steam Version) is available as a DLC executable launched separately from the base game." So they LIED to sell their product then changed the description afterwards. This cannot be legal in europe wtf is wrong with you bandai namco Add to that a kernel level anti-cheat, pay to win microtransactions (you can buy a late game superplane to use immediatly in pvp), terrible performances, crashes. Shame to have such a bad release for such a brilliant game. EDIT2: For the record, Ace Combat 8 is an excellent video game. But we cannot accept these anti-consumer practices.
We were promised Ace Combat Zero as a separate app on Steam, not as a DLC of a 150gb game with no separate achievements. Honor the original deal, like you did for console players.
UE5 + Denuvo + EAC make AC8's performance on PC absolute garbage. Even on all-low settings with DLSS enabled, I still experience obvious stuttering in online mode on my current setup. By contrast, AC7 could run smoothly even on integrated graphics—this is a massive step backward.
