Come home tired af Sit down in my chair Open this game Grab the longest delivery route they got Commit various traffic violations and flip my truck Sleep late at night, happy as a clam.
Spent $60 on fast-paced action games during the sale. Ignored all of them. Instead, I sat in a digital Scania truck for three straight hours, delivering 22 tons of frozen peas to Frankfurt in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm while listening to late-night radio. No shooting, no rush, no sweat. Just high beams and open highway. Genuinely the best anti-stress purchase in my library.
With being 200 hours away from having 4,000 hours banked, I thought "why not post a review for the game", so here goes... I have to say that this game has been very enjoyable throughout the time I have invested into the game over the years. It is truly an addictive masterpiece, whether if you're playing it with friends via the convoy mode or the TruckersMP modification, or even just pure solo (and that's okay too!), The exploration is just endless and it's so easy to get lost (not literally), suddenly hours have passed by without realising. With that being said, I am thoroughly impressed with the recent developments, reworks, map expansions and many other DLC's that go into the game. I will forever always look forward to what SCS have next in store. A solid 10/10 from me!
Amazing relaxing game being a truck driver across all of Europe!
I love the game, but a lots of pointless updates made by devs is crazy. If you are using mods its hard to play. Every update destroys mods, after that you have to wait about 2 weeks for all mods update, and after 2 weeks other game update, which change in game something which is working, But devs don't want to fix thinks which are really important like AI drivers, some DLC like Go West, or heavy / oversized DLC (which is really poorly madded), or make batter optimization. I delete my old review. and make this one after last update.
Since the latest update its been unplayable, can't configure controls have to do it all thought the wizard as it won't allow you to customise correctly in button assignment, then crashes when you close the game. 1 hours try to configure the controls gave up will play something else.
I have hundreds of hours in this game, and while it used to be the ultimate way to unwind, SCS Software has officially turned it into a "Paid Toll & Ferry Simulator." First of all, their DLC pricing policy is completely out of hand. If you want to drive across Europe, you literally have to buy the continent piece by piece, country by country. At this point, getting a real commercial driver's license and booking an actual ferry to Italy might be cheaper than buying all the map and cargo DLCs. And what do you get in those new countries? The exact same roundabouts, the exact same toll booths, just with a different speed limit sign. The AI traffic is legally brain-dead. European drivers in this game have a death wish. They will merge directly into your side on the highway out of nowhere, or slam on their brakes for a green light, and then YOU get fined for the accident. The police spawn mechanics are an absolute joke too—you go 1 km/h over the limit for a split second on an empty three-lane German autobahn at 3 AM, and BOOM, instant fine from a ghost cop hiding behind a bush. Also, can we talk about the endless road events and tiny detours? Every single random road event forces you to turn around and drive 50 kilometers out of your way because the game blocks the ONLY route with tiny cones and an invisible wall. It turns a relaxing cruise into a pure rage-quit simulator. Instead of adding meaningful gameplay depth, realistic tire physics, or an actual company management system that goes beyond hiring generic AI drivers who crash your trucks, they just keep pumping out map and paint-job DLCs to milk the player base dry. If you're also tired of paying for ferry tickets and highway tolls just to look at another slightly different toll gate, drop an award.
very poor optimization boring roads NPCs behavior is way too much robotic
