  • Aaaa I wish I had started this game so much sooner!! 😭 ♡ I had Spirit City sitting in my library for so long, and I do not even have a good excuse for why I never started it... Especially because ive played SOOO many questionable idle games in the meantime xD I must also admit that I even bought some that turned out to be absolutely terrible... FULLY knowing that this little gem was already sitting untouched in my library.... (So if you are reading this and you been doing the same as me... even though I doubt anyone else is dumb enough to do that... PLS JUST OPEN IT.) Spirit City is basically everything I want from a cozy idler/background game. You have loots of cute little spirits to discover and collect, you can customize your character, decorate your own cozy space and slowly unlock more as you level up. And yes... you can pet the spirits. Very important information (+ pick their colors as well) You get little hints and have to play around with different activities, sounds and settings to lure them out, which gives you something small to work towards while the game is just chilling in the background. The whole atmosphere is simply just lovely and super cozy + the music is relaxing, the ambient sounds are big plus for me (rain + fireplace? what is there not to like!!) There is ofc also little productivity features like a to-do list, focus timer, habit tracker and journal as well. Cute spirits. Cozy decorating with lots of options. Character customization. Different music + sounds to pick from. Things to collect. Yeeps! This is 100% my fav idle game 🌿☕️♡ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3799169666

  • Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a cozy little space that makes everyday routine more enjoyable. What really stands out in this game is lo-fi music, room/character customization, useful productivity features like managing daily tasks, keeping a journal, timer etc. And of course, little spirit pets you can discover. It all comes together to make it an enjoyable experience. It's the kind of game I leave running while working on my daily tasks or simply winding down after a long day. Other than that, the DLCs in particular add even more personality and variety and giving you new rooms and places to customize. Every update makes this game better. 10/10

  • Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is such a useful and cozy focus tool, especially if you enjoy having a bit of atmosphere while you work, study, or just unwind. There are so many nice aspects to it. You essentially get a little idle game alongside your productivity tools, with spirits to collect, and you can create your own space and customize your character. The character customization is probably the weakest part for me since it feels a little limited, but there’s still enough to make your space feel like your own. What I personally love the most, though, is the ambiance. You can mix and match different sounds and environments to create exactly the mood you want. So I mostly use Spirit City for the atmosphere and the lofi music, but there’s actually a lot more here if you’re looking for productivity features. You have timers, to-do lists, a journal, and other tools designed to help you stay focused and organized. If you like lofi music, cozy aesthetics, ambient sounds, or simply want something to make studying or working feel a little more enjoyable, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3804947771

  • I originally bought Spirit City: Lofi Sessions because I thought it looked cute... and there was a cat. And now that I've played it for a few days, I have to admit: Yea, it's honestly less of a game and more of a productivity tool... but one that works surprisingly well for me! Whenever I open Spirit City, something in my brain just goes, "Okay, focus time. Get all that stuff done! Now!" And I DO get it done. This is usually very hard for me since I have a tendency to get distracted really easily and constantly switch between things, but somehow having this little virtual room open makes it much easier for me to sit down, pick one thing, and actually get it done. And in the meantime I can collect a lot of cute little spirit companions or slowly unlock some customization options for the room, my character... and Lenny. Because let's be honest: As cute as all those unlockable spirits are, Lenny, the shapeshifting cat spirit, is way too cute to ever replace him, and his customization options look amazing. Also, the music and especially the sound mixer are probably one of my favourite parts of this game. You can mix and match different ambient sounds depending on what kind of atmosphere you need: nature sounds, white noise, a sizzling fireplace or the purring of a cat and many more... whatever works for the task at hand. It turns the whole thing into this little customizable focus bubble. You can also use your own music if you want, which is a really nice touch. I genuinely didn't expect a cute productivity game to help me this much with focusing, structuring my day, and developing better study habits for university, but here we are. So all in all, I can say it's absolutely worth buying, especially on sale. <3

  • Definitely takes more than an hour to level. I've been reading at my desk for 2 hours, and gained less than half a level. (Started 3/4 of the way through 17, currently sitting less than 1/4 of the way into 18.) Most of that came from making up a "task" and setting up a "timer" to click. Earlier levels were a lot faster. At this rate, I am wondering how many days it takes to get through the higher levels. It takes between 10 minutes and an hour to unlock a new spirit using the hints, but the actual game levels seem to come from just letting this run on your computer for days on end. If it's not farming my data, I don't see the point in that. There aren't enough spirits to unlock at each level to feel like it's doing anything. Steam says I have been "playing" this for 16 hours. Maybe 30-45 minutes total has been spent actually interacting with anything. The rest has just been running without me looking at it. My room and avatar are fully customized, so all that's left is clicking to "claim" a spirit and change the settings to fit the clue for the next one. That takes maybe 20 seconds. I like the graphics, and it's nice to have some background noise while reading - until the songs start to grate from repetition.

  • Reinstall this after a year or so, the rounded and translucent glowy UI design are killing me. EW.
