Juri Feet, that's why I got into this game, that's why I can't stop playing. Yes capcom are some greedy mf, but this is THE fighting game if you want to get into fighting games, and lets not act like ubisoft and EA don't have millions of players.
Good game but MAN, if you wanna cop all the DLC the pricing is absolutely absurd. Not to mention when you want to purchase a costume they do that thing where your forced to actually pay more credits than you need to due to the selection of coins you get. Really scummy business practices but otherwise, probably one of the best modern fighting games to get into. ALSO, get it on a sale it goes for like 20 bucks nowadays on one.
For reference I only played the game with the base characters, no DLC and this was the first Street Fighter game I have played. The core gameplay is great featuring a combination of moves ranging from specials and light to heavy attacks, there are also other mechanics that give the game depth such as the drive bar allowing the game to be easy to pick up but hard to master. Each character have their own play-style as well as size and weight that do affect the interactions with other fighters. I played arcade mode with each of the base characters to get a feel for each and learn the mechanics more. The normal mode cpu definitely are worthy opponents for new players to practice before fighting online. The presentation of the game is also very good, the special attacks all look amazing, character interaction during the special attack cutscenes and victory poses all look smooth, no shirt or hair falling through models like some lower budget games may show sometimes. The game does feature a single player “RPG” story where you can create your own character and combine moves from the main fighters, the story is just serviceable and the gameplay gets repetitive from what I read so I only checked out the beginning. All in all an engaging competitive 2d fighter that has depth and great presentation as well as a forced but harmless single player mode make this a good game to pick up here and there for a couple matches to grow your skills in fighting whether it be offline or online.
Games 10/10 lots of fun!
Really fun game. but the fact this game sits over 150 dollars if you want to buy all the dlc makes this game a complete rip off.
As much as I love the game’s graphics and gameplay, it’s hard for me to recommend it knowing that, at some point, players are going to be bombarded with paywalls and potentially miss out on some pretty cool characters because they’re locked behind them. As much as I love Capcom, I’ve never witnessed this level of greed from them before, and honestly, it’s super annoying.
Super high quality, but terribly monetized. $40 game with $120 for dlc fighters, so $160 for all fighters, and it can cost more if you get the "ultimate" pass. This monetization makes it hard to get into the game unless you bought this game day 1, or you're just rich enough to support this greed. The base game feels like SF6 lite, because literally half of the roster is locked behind dlc. There are 18 playable characters in base SF6, and 30 total fighters as of 2026. That means almost half of the roster (22/30, or 40%) are locked behind a paywall. And that number will probably grow with these annual $30 dlcs for 4 characters. Like: M. Bison and Sagat are some of the most iconic SF characters ever and they are locked behind a $30 DLC with some other characters, are we serious?! Why were they not in the base game? And the game is fun, the content and fighting feel amazing but it really doesn't need to be monetized like this. 9/10 game 5/10 monetization
"Wow I have way too much money" "What am I gunna do with all this money" "It's literally falling out of my pockets! Won't somebody please take some of this money?!" "So anyway, that's how I imagine our target audience" - capcom cu ck meeting
