  • After 3,816 hours, I can say this game isn’t perfect — but it’s easily one of the most complete, varied, and endlessly replayable strategy experiences ever made. Total War: Warhammer blends the best of multiple genres into one massive world: RPG depth with heroes that grow, evolve, and completely change how you play. Real‑time tactical battles that stay intense, chaotic, and fun even after thousands of hours. Turn‑based strategy with meaningful decisions, diplomacy, economy, and long‑term planning. Grand campaign scale where every faction feels like a different game with its own mechanics, pacing, and personality. And then you add mods, which don’t just extend the game — they multiply its value. New factions, balance tweaks, QoL improvements, visual upgrades… the community keeps the game alive and thriving. The game offers endless variation: endgame scenarios, difficulty settings, battle styles, campaign rules, faction identities. If you enjoy strategy, you simply don’t run out of things to do. Unit movement feels weighty and satisfying, battles can get brutally intense, and the soundtrack fits every moment perfectly — from calm exploration to full‑scale apocalyptic warfare. After all this time, I can say it clearly: This is my favorite game. Not because it’s flawless, but because no other strategy title combines so many worlds into one.

  • Total War: Warhammer III is addictive as hell. There are so many factions to play, each with its own unique playstyle, mechanics, and objectives. The sheer potential of using the Warhammer Fantasy universe as its setting is incredible, with a massive world full of lore, conflicts, and countless things to explore. It’s far from a perfect game, but with strong community support and easy access to mods through the Steam Workshop, Total War: Warhammer III becomes an even better experience. I highly recommend picking this game up, especially since it frequently goes on sale at a very affordable price. I personally can’t wait to see how the Total War series expands into the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

  • Don't start on easy with the recommended faction. Start on the hardest difficulty, but maintain the ability to save and load. Slam your head directly into the brick wall. Figuring out a new game with your favourite faction is precious. Make it count by challenging yourself. Try everything.

  • Great game, I was looking for a game like Bannerlord and this scratches that itch. They both have this same problem though.... When someone attacks me on the campaign map, in the battle, they should have to attack. Aren't they attacking? Why to they get to sit on top of the hill and not engage? Like I am just going to continue to march wherever I was going and ignore them. So basically I am respectfully requesting for the AI to be more aggressive when they are "attacking".

Negative

  • The game in concept is generational. In execution it is nothing but disappointing. For every new feature, they break 15 more. I have accumulated hundreds of hours in this game, it is true, but I've also spent hundreds of dollars for the various DLCs and previous 1 and 2 games. Once you get familiar with the game it is no longer fun, since the AI factions cannot ever challenge you due to the deluge of game-breaking bugs. Most people who've been playing for as long as I have use some kind of AI fixing mod from the workshop, but with ever new update CA pushes out, they break their own game as well as the mods that others had made. I want to love this game; I get the itch to play and then a few hours after I start, I realize why it's no longer fun. It's soul-crushing.

  • WTF is with locking 80% of game behind DLCs?

  • I've put a lot of hours into all three of the Warhammer games, the uniqueness of each faction is fantastic, the art, graphics and animation teams have all done wonderful jobs and are the highlight of the game, but... Every single dlc release has been a buggy mess for these games, causing noticeable changes in the games a.i and campaign behaviour. In the current state I am seeing Order factions declaring war on each other, likely due to changes to the 'Player bias'. Whilst it's nice to see the a.i not leaving all of their armies camped around their capital, now they just aimlessly wonder back and forth in neighbouring provinces. It needs a proper dedicated balancing update and not these small quick-fixes post dlc release.
