For those who liked the "Don't Escape" trilogy. This game takes it to the next level. Totally worth it.
100% recommend buying this and playing it ASAP. Avoid spoilers for your first playthroughs especially. Don't worry about failing or it not being perfect, that's part of the charm and experience. For some reason I'd seen this game and put off buying it or playing it for a long long time. I suppose I didn't know what to expect or what it was like, gameplay wise from the title and screenshots on Steam. WOW what a mistake. This game is excellent. A breath of fresh air in the puzzle and point and click adventure scene. Well written characters, interesting setting and puzzles, some variation to encourage additional playthroughs and good lore that connects to previous games by the same developer. The pixel art is pretty good, functional and gets the atmosphere and story across well. It's lo-res style choice, but a good artist behind it to make it work. This is a game that has actual win and loss conditions and good and bad results for this or that event or plan. Something that many modern point and click gamers might not be used to any more since killing the player character off was treated as near heresy, but here you'll feel it very justified and good for the gameplay and story. Losing or not doing so well in this doesn't just feel like random punishment but more a lesson to do better in the future with your next play through, something you're expected and really should do with this game - multiple playthroughs. You can have different puzzles in playthroughs and you can approach them in different ways (even if there are ways that can be considered "ideal"). Makes it feel more freeform and interesting to explore than a standard adventure game. The character arcs (because the characters are so well written) are very satisfying, as are the endings.
One of my favorite and I believe one of the best point and click games ever. It's just so good, the gameplay is fun, very replayable, and very satisfying, the music is amazing at selling the atmosphere, the art is beautiful, and the characters are great. If you like survival/puzzle games, buy it, buy it, buy it!!!
Good point and click game
Way too tedious for my liking. There is one way to advance the game and you don't know you are missing a peice to continue until you die. So you just wander around clicking on things trying to find what item you didn't see the first four times.
