This is great! No really, it is. I can sit there and never start the game because I'm shooting stuff. My horse is special and can't look me in the eyes yet manages to ride straight. My teammate is one of a kind, and isn't always helpful. I steal from anyone and everyone and anything, its not nailed down its coming with me. I'll fight you just because I want to fight you or maybe your lazy eye was staring at me. Either way, I get a choice of classes to kick your digital ass. More towns and locations than I can shake a stick at. Loads of secrets and funny stuff, the more you play the better it gets.
I think this might be one of the greatest games of all time
There aren't many games I have left reviews on or have much thoughts about. Often times, I play what I like, and stay in my circles. Yet, without the youtuber Markiplier, I never would have heard of this game series. Without my two hands, I never would have experienced something so charming that I want to crochet it a sweater for Crimbo. Without West of Loathing, my life would be a whole lot more dull. This isn't just a game. It is a sense of joy I thought I had lost for a long while. If there are over a hundred seventy thousand words actively in use the English dictionary, I can't fathom a string of them accurate enough to convey the love and appreciation I have for this game. For what I hate in games with turn based combats, it makes up for in exploration, wordplay, whimsy, and joy from every waking moment spent playing this game. I truly do hope the wonderful people at Asymmetric know that they didn't just make a game, but they made something beyond art. Something beyond words in the pleasure and joy it creates to merely partake in. I just wish that I could afford to give out copies of this game to all of my friends, as I feel something this wonderful should be shared as much as physically possible. Thank you for the wonderful game, you wonderful people at Asymmetric. I wish you all the best, and I wish all who read this comment to try out the game if you haven't. It truly is a wonderful experience every time.
i’ve been meaning to play this game for the longesttt time and OH BOY, i’m so glad i finally did. i absolutely loved it. the writing is hilarious, worldbuilding is so engaging, and there are SO many things to discover in the kingdom of loathing.
