Cute little game about building a farm, living life, and gradually dating everyboy in town.
I can't stop playing this game. And now I need someone who wants to play with me for hours. I spend around 6 hours in Stardew Valley, no kidding. Even though I haven't played it since I know its existence. People used to recommended me Stardew Valley for years and now I finally tried this game. People were right, it's never too late to give it an opportunity.
I love, love, love this game- have loved it since release and will continue to love it for as long as I breathe. I never hesitate to purchase a new copy when I adopt a new gaming platform- when I was thru-hiking on the Appalachian Trail I would play this offline in hostels and in town stops on my phone, and fear I will never tire of it. Despite having sunk (across varying platforms, what I assume to be) 1500+ hours into this masterpiece, I have not yet reached perfection- I am in no rush at all, and am a little sad that I am nearly there now- however, with the new update coming later this year, I have no worries or hesitations at all when it comes to beginning a new farm and starting the journey from the beginning once more. Absolutely recommend, my all-time favorite RPG, and I am always filled with so much joy and absolute enthusiasm when it comes to future updates. May be the perfect game.
never thought I would be addicted to a farming game but here we are

boring slow does not show you were to go
Who would have thought that a game about chores and labor would feel like doing chores and labor? I do enjoy the dopamine hits of picking up a vegetable that I have grown, but the game is so insanely slow, and you have to read so many guides to make meaningful progress in this game. After learning enough about it, I understand that I could actually be doing something productive with my life instead of this. This game is so insanely slow. For example, in order to make friends, you need to not only give them gifts, but also talk to them DAILY, and they are far away. Far enough for me to spend meaningful time checking guides on their schedules and walking patterns and finding them. There is so much walking in this game. There are not enough songs to enjoy the music, no GTA/fallout radio or interesting dialogue from characters that hypothetically could have been joining you, just boring, mediocre pixel art walks for eternity. So much stuff is blocking you from progressing the game in a normal pace. Like some crops that you need to grow but take 12 days and the season will change in 11 days so you need to wait a year to be able to grow them (I know that there is a way around it but it also takes a lot of time and again- kinda hidden behind online guides). At some point I was wondering, why am I not just cleaning my house more frequently instead of playing this? This is an endless chore.
