Yes, I bought this for my gf. Yes, I did test it out for her. Yes, that test did go on for four hours. Please make a DLC for suits.
Suddenly I'm 12 again, playing a dress-up game online, gathering inspo for the dresses I plan to hand sew for my dolls. Life is good.... You know what, I'm turning 30 next week and this makes me wanna sew some of these dresses for myself. Loving this game so far, very creative and cozy. Can't stop playing.
This game exceeded all expectations. If you are like me and used to spend hours on girls go games and are swiftly approaching 30... this ones for you!
I definitely would recommend this game to any artists, because it is such a fun way to design clothes without the hassle. Although I do wish to one day to be able to name my designs, instead of just letting my dresses be named off-the-rack dresses. Cause any designer would/should name their fits! It would also be great if I was able to sketch colors for the back of the dress, since the back is just as important as the front. Other than that this is probably the most coolest game I have ever invested in, thank you to the devlopers, creators, and designers of this game!
Geez do I wish I could press recommend on this right now. But until they address the accessibility issues I really can't. It's been days of the community trying to get their attention about severe epilepsy hazards within the game. **IF YOU ARE PHOTOSENSITVE/EPILEPTIC THERE ARE CURRENTLY MAJOR BUGS WITH STROBE EFFECTS ON PATTERNS AND TRIGGERS IN THIS GAME THAT CANNOT BE TURNED OFF** There is no warning tagged on the game on steam as well which is concerning. I understand having a small dev team and the work that has been put into this game. I love playing, but there are adjustments that truly need to be made and issues that should be addressed. Once this has been taken care of, I would gladly edit my review. But at this time, I would beware.
I WOULD Recommended, but... Pretty much ran into a lot of bugs that required me to leave the game, I was a little tolerant of it even if it was annoying (Like parts of fabrics you cut being Gone until you exited the game was a common one, laces acting weird and hard to select, tiny jewel accessories being difficult to select as well.) I've then encountered an unforgivable glitch that made me really upset! After the Duke's funeral I encountered a customer that locked me from continuing the story period. As in, I tried to measure her chest but it doesn't register (All the other parts do for some reason?) I tried to exit and open the game again, resetting my computer, but it still didn't work... I really want to like this game, and I do! But the devs really need to work on some patches before I consider picking it up again. Even my friend i was playing with encountered some bugs and issues; So it is certainly not that rare. Again, this is a really great game and could easily be my favorites, I just think it needed a little more time or some play testing before buying a buggy mess.
I love this game, and I've been waiting for it for so long as well. Which is why it hurts me so much to say I can't recommend this game in its current state. My computer is extremely beefy so it runs very well and the controls are very fluid. My biggest problem is multiple little things that hurt my experience to the point that I'm disgusted with the story. I will admit the writing is charming, but you're locked into one response 90% of the time, and a lot of it is invasive, cruel, nosy, and downright mean. It hurt me so much when I couldn't do anything but prod Adora when she's clearly trying to remain discreet. I've been disgusted by the constant badgering of Fiona for her life story when she clearly doesn't want to talk about it. You blatantly call Alice Creepy. I expected much more from a game I was so hopeful about, but when they force you into the gossipy jackdaw persona, it's very disappointing. Aside from the dialogue, the colour coding in your book is relatively problematic. You can't change a colour if you accidentally coloured a part wrong; you have to erase it all and start the process over again. Needless to say, on a dress with a lot of small details that need to be colour-coded, it's a nightmare. Plus, every time you want to change the colour of your pencil, you have to put it down, pick it up, and select the colour, or, if you put it down by accident, you still need to select the same colour when picking the pencil up again. I know this game is still relatively new, but it's marketed as a full release, which is why these QoP (Quality of Play) things are such a problem. They should've been sorted out in beta testing. I've played several games that decided to forgo Beta Testing and they ended up being terrible even years after release. I don't want that for this game I want to be able to come back and leave a more positive review in the future but for now I just can't.
This game is glitch city. If you have the patience for trim not to show up on many dresses but the game thinks its on the dresses or a custom order that needs to be done but you didn't receive customer at all when you rang the bell but the game is saying you did. I've tried this game on different pcs (boyfriend's and my mac book neo) and they all have problems with this game and the weird glitches. I really don't understand why this happens to this game but make sure you have patience because you will crash out.
