Finding Paradise

Two doctors traverse backwards through a dying man's memories to fulfill his last wish. This is To the Moon's standalone sequel, but can also be played first.

  • I normally have to force myself to play games like this as the lack of actual gameplay is what scares me away. But with movies being so terrible nowadays, playing narrative-driven experiences like this on the rare occasion is pretty much a given for me. A sequel to To the Moon and A Bird Story, Kan Gao's storytelling had me hooked from the beginning. Expect lots of dialogue, lots of clicking on objects to proceed to the next area and expect a good payoff for your investement; the story is that good. Again; Not really a "game" in the traditional sense.

  • I am genuinely surprised how this game is not mentioned as frequently as "To The Moon". The idea of exploring a man's relationship with his own life and what it means to have lived a fulfilled life, is something that speaks to me on a very personal level and I am glad that I took the time to play through this story. Kan Gao and team have found their footing with the humor, the writing and the gameplay design here. Dr. Neil Watts remains one of the funniest characters in video game history and I am so glad that he is not written to be one-dimensional. The same goes for every other character in this franchise as well. The music remains beautiful and ethereal. I stayed in the menu screen for 10 minutes before exiting the game for one last time, just to hear the music once again. Cannot recommend this enough. Have high hopes for Impostor Factory now.

  • A worthy successor to the classic To The Moon. The music, the story, the comedy, the updated gameplay... Freebird has updated and improved on their winning formula. Thank you for taking the time out of your life Kan Goa, you have made the world a kinder place.
