Downloaded Civilization VI thinking I’d play for an hour. 6 hours later, it’s 3 AM, I’m at war with 4 different countries, my economy is collapsing, and Gandhi is somehow threatening me with nuclear weapons. The game is basically 10% strategy and 90% saying “just one more turn.” Every game starts with: “I’m going to be peaceful this time.” 20 turns later: “Your city looks very nice. It would be a shame if something happened to it.” Absolutely addictive. Completely destroys your sleep schedule. 10/10. Would conquer the world again.
very addictive game, love playing it. i did a 100 hours in a week, almost too much. kinda disappointed that the base game is missing sooo much. did not expect to have to buy the anthology bundle to enjoy the full game, which is a bit expensive. but overall the only turn based game i own and love
Civ VI - Awesome CIV VII - NOT Awesome Don't get 7, stay on 6. You'll thank me.
I played for a thousand of hours and just realized you can rotate the camera.
I played a civ 5 and civ 6 game back to back. The difference is astounding. The AI of Civ 6 is a terrible unfunny joke. Its a push over compared to the civ 5 AI. Civ 6 is a game of click through pointless menus and moving pointless levers around and for some building buildings inside buildings making building a city tedious, annoying, and unenjoyable. I also find it funny that the entire game I play peacefully then the AI declares war then the game labels me a war monger. For what? Existing? At the time I owned exactly 3 military units and it was mid-late game, so thats kinda funny the game worked that way. Ontop of that, with those 3 units I pummeled the AI. In Civ 5 this would be entirely impossible. In Civ 5 the AI only declares war when it has a hope of at least capturing a city, in Civ 6 the AI declares war for seemingly no reason and whilst not having an army. The AI also lets barbarians rome freely through their cities even in the very late game. Seriously? How!?! WHY!?
Overall your game plan builds on abuses that u cant even search info about in the game (e.g. district cost calculation, district discounts, workers cost calculation, etc.). Basically, you have almost no decisions in both science and cultural trees - u have to play the most optimal play every game Game is not bad, but only with friends or 10 h solo. Civ 5 just better in terms of balance and decision-making situations
No, don't care for the changes with the workers and making them quickshot builders that really don't help long term.. I've gone back to play Civ V; not even bothering with Civ VII
Just not that great. It has some interesting ideas, but the way they work together is just too clunky. not as much fun as civ 5.
