A mysterious invitation leads to the attic of an abandoned house. In the room is a cast-iron safe laced with strange carvings and on top, a note from your distant companion. It promises something ancient and astonishing concealed in the iron chamber - you need only find a way in.

The Box. You opened it. I first beat this game on my phone 14 years ago, and back then, it felt like black magic. My classmates and I would huddle up five deep just trying to crack all the puzzles. Even now, I still think this game is one of a kind and 100% the best in the "puzzle box" genre. The sequels are great too, but this one is still my favorite.
If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a thumbsup;)
The further - The better♥️

It was fun. I enjoyed the game very much.
The most entertaining puzzle game ever. I love all the Room games. Wish they made more.
If you are into puzzle games, this is perfect! It is definitely a time sink but I thoroughly enjoyed it
The Room is a game I would call decidedly okay. The visuals and audio are solid, the puzzles are tightly designed, and there weren't any solutions that seemed stupid or out of left field. However, I found the ending to be incredibly lackluster in every way. The final puzzle was one of the easier ones and after completing it the game simply ended, with less fanfare than some of the previous level transitions had. The story was entirely threadbare, but what little plot the game had was left completely unresolved with the game's final message effectively saying "buy the sequel" rather than anything in particular about the game itself. If there's any sort of replay value to be had in terms of secrets and extras, the game doesn't hint at it. The achievements are all earned naturally by completing the game and the only thing left for me to do is leave the game on long enough to get the final card drop. I do imagine the game was far more impressive 14 years ago on a phone or tablet, but I have no idea why the game has overwhelmingly positive recent reviews. The game wrapped for me in about 90 minutes without making any use of the hint system. I do appreciate that they let me turn it off, because by default it shows up in the corner after a very short time of not making progress, with a little audio ping prompting you to click it. When I went into the settings to see if that was possible, I also noticed some simple graphics options, which defaulted to medium. Since it was an old game, I turned it to max which promptly crashed the game. I suspect this might be related to having multiple monitors, with the main one having a higher resolution than would have been common in 2014. In any case, relaunching did allow me to continue at max settings with no further issues and no lost progress. The only issues I had other than that were some finnicky interactions, which I imagine is because the game was originally designed for touchscreen controls. While I could hardly consider the game bad, there's definitely better puzzle experiences out there for the price, both in general and in this specific puzzlebox subgenre. If you're interested a short romp through some tightly designed puzzles and aren't concerned about plot at all, you could certainly do worse, but you could also do much better. It's not a bad game, but I don't think I could recommend it to anyone at the current price.
This game seems nice at first but the clues are"this is a key" like no &*#$ sherlock! Also the Sheer amount of clicks on something only to find Noooooo, you just didnt click the right PIXEL or put the item on the right PIXEL wasted like 40 min after the shield didn't fit on the knight. I usually enjoy these types of games but I dunno this one really just rubs the wrong way.
