Virtual Cottage

• I am now officially a registered Psychometrician! I used Virtual Cottage while preparing for my board exams, primarily as a way to practice the Pomodoro Method, stay accountable, and help me focus once the timer started. Although Virtual Cottage is simple in concept, it served its purpose well for me. I was not a fan of lo-fi music and I preferred the rain sounds so I'm glad the elements was customizable. Since I was working while preparing for the exams, I had to make the most of the time I had after work and during my breaks. Virtual Cottage became a little study space for me where I could set aside a specific amount of time, focus, and make those small pockets of free time count, may it be 15-30 minutes of reading to an intense 3 hour session. The achievements as time passes also motivated me to come through haha! I just received my results yesterday, and I’m so happy to share that I passed with a rating of 90%! (Allow me this little opportunity to brag XD) Thank you so much, DU&I!

• There's a certain zen to this game. I've been struggling to focus when studying a lot, but thanks to this game I managed to wire my brain into "study mode" whenever I hear the rain, fireplace, and lofi music. You know how they say you should keep your rooms separate, so study in one room, eat in another, play games in another, etc? This helps wire your brain to switch to a respective mode, but I can't really do this since I'm in a single room apartment. However this game really helps push that feeling. I'm in my little cozy space when this game is on. Thank you devs!
