For something that is free I cannot believe how good this game is!! I have all the DLC's but honestly the base game is brill on it's own. I love all the characters and the way the story develops, its so well written and not to mention the art is beautiful. This game has set the standard for VN for me.
No game has made me cry like this since I played Outer Wilds. I played it all night. Then had to come back and play it again after I bought the DLC. I cannot recommend this game enough, not just for the replay ability, but the extensive customization you can do as well, the fact choices actually matter and carry forth. That I can play my character a certain way and have it acknowledged and reflected in how other characters see them. If you enjoy visual novels. You will not regret it.
This game was surprisingly good. I did not expect much given how it was free, but all my expectations were exceeded. I suppose it was one of the highest rated free games on steamdb for a reason. This game is really pleasant. It's cozy and charming; a great break from fps games and homework. The writing is not cringe... at least not all the time and it isn't corny. The developers really put a lot of thought and effort into it. choices feel like they matter because they actually lead to different dialogue. The variety of choices was appreciated. Many instances felt like I had actual freedom in what my choices were. At least for the selection of options given of course. The story was nice. It does its job of being a pleasant slice of like walkthrough. I don't feel like there were any plot holes or inconsistencies. For what it is this game is on the higher end of quality. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who likes to read and or play calm games.
I'll feel sick and robbed for the rest of my miserable life. I had a Cove growing up. I wonder how he's doing, if this could have been us. I miss the beach.
