• This game is so fire bro, you can do medical malpractice and gas people out as well as create horrendous devices of eternal torment and suffering.

 • Great sandbox game, Workshop has been a hell-hole these past few months. In 2026, this game has suffered 2(although I hear there were 3) attacks via the Steam Workshop; February - Contraptions, Achievements and others have been infected and effectively reset. Probably the hackers testing water on how to do all of this? There apparently was another attack in August however it seems as if that one was effectively stopped? I haven't heard about anything there. September - Full Malware attack. Steals your password and compromises your personal data. Blaming the dev doesn't really do much given the nature of the Steam Workshop when you give freedom to the players to modify anything. Yes, negligence has a part to play on this, but pointing fingers around is not the move. It's the easiest to blame people after all. Stuff like this happens, refer to the Garry's Mod cough virus or glue library incident. Not to add the recent Meccha Chameleon and other attacks in other games. People Playground, given the (now 2 years) of no updates, almost should've been able to see it coming. But NEW CONTENT =/= SECURITY FEATURES. Although personally I would love to see some new content for this game(who wouldn't?) Workshop is planned to return in a new form, as Lua will be the new programming language* instead of C#. Even without a workshop this game is fun. (*Edit) : I have no idea if it will be Lua or not, however it will not be C#. Not to mention the game is SAFE. It is absolutely SAFE in case you wish to buy it. The workshop has been disabled and effectively removed, Steam has helped out and removed all of the potentially harmful code that has remained inside the game. Get the game if you want, or not idrc this is just my review

Negative

 • Cannot recommend even touching the game. Multiple times at this point, the workshop has had mods infected by whatever std it gets and has gotten onto the pc’s of people just trying out mods. At this point, I see the only things to do here as either play the game without a single mod or just don’t play it. If you can’t ensure the safety of your users and fans you especially shouldn’t have an audience of mostly younger individuals. I cannot and do not recommend this, despite how fun it once was.

 • Edit: the game is "safe" now. but im not coming back. ive gotten hundreds of hours of fun off this game. and i sincerely love this game, but the risk is just not worth it. i wish the dev good luck in everything they do, but this is goodbye.
WARNING: THIS GAME IS NOT SAFE TO RUN
This game's workshop (which is practically half the game) has now been hacked 3 times. this third time is seriously dangerous. infected players may have had their passwords, tokens, and IP adresses leaked. aswel as having their entire steam library destroyed, with their items wiped. This game has become a complete cyber safety hazard. This game is by no means a bad game. quite the oposite. but it is simply not worth running the risk of another attack. i sincrely loved this game when i used to play it alot, but this is not something that anyone should be messing around with. unless some extremely serious and vast reform happens around this game's security. do not touch this game.

 • unfortunately due to a third virus hitting the modding scene in under a year, i can not recommend this game. Yes the game is fun, but it is just not worth possibly getting a virus from the workshop. This new one takes the cake and is genuinely destructive torwards your computer, i no longer feel safe even just having a vanilla copy of this game on my pc. As someone who programs, i understand zooi's frustrations with making the game (which are on his devlog about the current state of ppg), but i think at this point it is clear the workshop of this community is no longer something safe and zooi should either change how mods work so that they cannot do this or create a separate website for ppg mods that is moderated (which both might not even be doable in the first place), destroying years of hard work and possibly the workshop or keep the workshop closed so there can't be a chance of a fourth virus. I will respect whatever Zooi chooses to do, but it is clear that the workshop currently is not a safe enough place to just leave it open again as mentioned previously.

 • In the game's official discord server, the developer and admins are making fun of the situation and the people who have been seriously affected by the ongoing issues with the workshop taking zero accountability besides "don't use mods" and "we disabled the workshop again" instead of putting any effort into making mods safe to use. Incredibly unprofessional and disgusting behaviour. This game is not worth purchasing. I heavily encourage not getting it at all. As this game really doesn't have much content outside of mods, which are of course, unusable. And never will be usable again. ♥♥♥♥ you Zooi. I guess I could add more info. This games mods are written in I believe C# which is an incredibly powerful coding language for modding which means 2 things. A) There is a lot of stuff that can be done with mods. B) The mods can inject malware and run code on your computer to hack into your steam account, and your personal files. This includes browser tokens and password managers. Meaning if you are logged in to an online bank, an email, or anything similar in your browser. Then a malicious actor can also log into it. If you have your passwords or sensitive documents unencrypted on your PC. They can also get access to those too. Yes. The dev is literally mocking people and joking about a situation in which someone could lose their entire digital life, their money, and possibly get them in legal trouble
