If you like rpg maker games with a good story and great atmosphere this is a must play.
Good short game, you can rush it in 5 hours, or take your time with a 10 hours run if you click every little thing and read every dialog of every npc like I did. There's 2 endings but you can see both in a single run by just making a save file at the last bit of the game and reloading that save file to see the other ending (you get a visual warning to save before you activate a ending so you can't miss it). As a side note I want to mention I really liked the way this game was translated. Yes, translated, not localized. You get the full experience with names like Ojou-chan and its meaning in parenthesis like "Hello Ojou-chan (young lady)" and then it's up to you to remember what that means when they keep using it. All places, characters' names and lore objects are handled that way. If you are a seasoned weeb you will have no issues with this. Overall a 9/10 game. Good story, good sfx, good ambience music, just a tiny bit forceful on the plot points.
How shall I put it? The game felt more like a visual novel than a RPG with how much of reading content it had and also the plot was certainly very interesting for me to the point it actually made me push past my limit to sit and play the whole game in one go instead of breaking it down into sessions. The sound track oh my, I would cherish it for rest of my life and the whole enviornment that the game presents was immersive. The game had few jumpscares and trust me some of them got me (Not in a aaaah!! way but ooh damn!!). Although I believe for a seasoned reader the plot might be very simple or predictable (that I am definitely not) but it was quite enjoyable. Maybe it's just me or the plot at some places felt rushed but it was not bad I believe just something I felt... Overall I'd rate the game 8/10? maybe 7.5? aah I wouldn't bother with that anyway it was a good exprienece and time well spent.
Generally one of the best games
I just didn't really get in the end what it all meant. Just like, ♥♥♥♥ happens? Anyway, it was well written, just thematically I didn't get what the author was trying to say. Generally I like stories where it's really easy to see what the moral of the story is. So it didn't quite click for me in the end, but it was still interesting.
